Today, Rich and went exploring in Louisville. Here are a bunch of pictures:

Cave Hill Cemetary: I know, going to a cemetary sounds weird, but it was actually really amazing. It is right downtown historic Bardstown Rd., and it is just breathtaking! These pictures don't do it justice, it is honestly miles and miles of beautiful wooded acres with huge, monumental gravesites. Some of them looked like they were from ancient Greece or somewhere.

This angel was one of my favorites!

Next, we headed to the Riverfront Park. It is a sprawling park that runs right along the Ohio river. There is a little water park and bike trails, and it is beautiful! It's also right along the edge of downtown Louisville.

This was probably the highlight of the day: Churchill Downs! We went through the Derby Museum and then toured the actual derby grounds. It was beautiful!

This is the track, and across the way is the winner's circle.

Here are the stadium seats.

This statue is a replica of one of the winner horses, and it's not even life-size!

I can't wait for derby season so I can buy a fancy hat!

This is a statue of Big Brown, last year's winner.
