Finding the Perfect Pumpkin

What do you do when you're nearing your due date, done with work, and baby STILL doesn't want to budge?? Go to Huber Farms with some good friends and find the PERFECT pumpkin!! The past two days, Rich has been on fall break, and since our little girly is not budging despite lots of signs that have been giving us false hope...we decided to head up to Huber Farms and hope that walking around the pumpkin patch and riding the bumpy hay ride might get things moving...I don't think it worked, but it was still fun!

Rich, Keith, and Mackenzie looking at the baby goats.
We found our perfect pumpkin at the very beginning, and Rich carried it around on his shoulder the whole time...he didn't want anyone taking our pumpkin!
Haha, very funny...Rich said, "I wonder if the Huber Farms people will think you are trying to steal a pumpkin by hiding it under your shirt?" Then when we went to check out, the lady actually asked me (she was joking...I hope) if I was hiding a pumpkin.

Update: last week at my appointment, my Dr. ordered an ultrasound to make sure baby wasn't breech...she was definitely head down, but my amniotic fluid measured low, so she had me hydrate for 24 hours and go to the hospital the next day to measure again. This time, I measured just fine, and we got to see our little girl on the ultrasound two days in a row!! We were reassured that she really is a girl (I've been having dreams that she comes out a boy). Oh, and the ultrasound tech took measurements of her body and came to the conclusion that she weighed around 8 lbs 6 oz...I'm really hoping she was way off. Oh, and her chubby belly is in the 98th percentile...hopefully her head isn't that big! Can't wait for her to get here! I'm getting anxious!

That pumpkin joke made me laugh right out loud. You better post pictures soon after she is born! I keep checking your blog like 3 times a day to see if you've had her yet. Good Luck!

I keep checking you blog daily tto so you better post pictures. I bet she will be so cute! When I got to the point of my pregnancy that you are at I tried to put myself into labor by walking on the tred mill. I tried that for a week along with every other method of putting yourself into labor and the day i decided to stop my water broke walking at the park. So maybe if you just don't do anything for awhile and then go for a walk it will happen to you.

Oh you are sooo adorable, Carlie! I'm soooo excited for you and Rich. My mom and I did a similar thing trying to get Colton here... actually we tried everything, but the most fun was the moon bounce at the strawberry patch. :) Outright, hilarious! They just come when they are ready. :) BEST WISHES... We're praying for you!
