When we moved to Kentucky, the first friends we met on Sunday were Jody and Dieter...who knew we would become lifelong friends? Shortly after we moved to Kentucky, they moved away to DC, but we have managed to keep in touch and squeeze in a few visits, and we also had little girls just a couple weeks apart!
Brynlie and Maddison had so much fun playing together, and we crammed so much into a few short days! Rich had to work most of the time, so he's not in many pictures (we missed him!!) These pictures were all taken by Jody, who is an amazing photographer!

We went through the Redwoods one day and while we were walking through, Brynlie got really scared and wanted me to hold her. She kept saying "snake"...I finally found what she was looking at--this slug! To help calm her fears, I told her it looked like a banana, so then she kept saying "mmmm...banana snake! nummy nummy!"

We went to South Umpqua falls, which is a really fun place we discovered last weekend with some friends. It is an amazing place with natural waterslides, rock jumping, and all kinds of crazy adventurous things that I didn't quite dare do...(I will next time we go back!)

The girls were pretty content throwing rocks in the water. Can you believe how much beautiful hair Maddison has!? Poor Brynlie...they are both on opposite ends of the spectrum for hair length
On our way back from the falls, Jody noticed a little place on the side of the road called Heaven On Earth. Well who wouldn't want to eat something from there? Apparently they are famous for their giant sized cinnamon rolls! So we picked one up...Dieter is illustrating how huge they really are!

One of the one times we got to have Rich with us was when we had family night by the river. We packed tin foil dinners and the girls played in the water while the boys played on the rope swing. They are like giddy little girls when they are together...it's too funny! While the rope swing was fun, we realized Rich had some repercussions...he got into poison oak for the 2nd...maybe 3rd time since we've been here? Not cool!
It was a great week filled with lots of fun memories. Thanks so much for coming to visit us Weiss family!

We had so much fun with you guys! We want to be neighbors in Oregon, not only do some of our favorite people live there, but it was amazing! Definitely a yearly trip will be made, no more waiting so long to get together!
What a blast, these pictures are beautiful! I want to visit so very bad!!
